2023 Annual Report Now Available
The Alfred Deakin Institute for Citizenship and Globalisation (ADI) is delighted to announce the launch of our 2023 Annual Report.
This report reflects the Institute’s extraordinary post pandemic recovery as it continued its strong, upward trajectory to excel across many areas of the research enterprise and socio-scholarly impact.
Across the Institute’s various research streams and programs, our researchers were awarded an ADI record of $6.8 million dollars in external competitive research funding. This funding came from a total of 30 new grants – 12 new Australian Research Council (ARC) grants (10 Deakin led) and the rest highly competitive industry bids.
The Institute hosted more than 50 public events, including the 2023 Alfred Deakin Institute Oration – the first time since the disruption of COVID-19 lockdowns that this important event could be held.
Our publication strategy saw 69% of our journal articles appear in high quality, Q1 ranked outlets, while our books and monographs continued to find readers through major university and academic presses.
This report celebrates the many individual awards and prestigious appointments of ADI researchers, including being top ranked by the Australian’s Research Magazine in religion, human migration, ethnic and cultural studies, and Middle Eastern and Islamic studies.
