For the second consecutive year, The Australian’s Research magazine has named Fethi Mansouri (Human Migration) and Ihsan Yilmaz (Religion) as Australian leaders in their research fields.
The magazine selects leaders based on the number of citations researchers have received for publications in top academic journals over the past five years.
This year Deakin again drew the attention of the magazine, being named the leading research institution in the world for 2 fields and in Australia for 13 fields, and having researchers named Australian leaders in 8 fields, including:
- Human Migration: Deakin Distinguished Professor Fethi Mansouri
- Religion: Professor Ihsan Yilmaz
Deakin was also named a “fast mover”, one of the universities whose research influence grew more than 5 per cent in the past year.
