Institute researchers recognised as national leaders for third consecutive year

The Australian Research Magazine 2026 has once again named our colleagues Distinguished Professor Fethi Mansouri, (PhD, FASSA) and Ihsan Yilmaz (for the third year in a row) as Australia’s leading researchers in the fields of Human Migration and Religion respectively.

Deakin (and our Institute) are also the leading institution in the fields of Ethnic and Cultural Studies; Diplomacy and International Studies as well as Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies.
