For the second consecutive year, The Australian’s Research magazine has named Fethi Mansouri (Human Migration) and Ihsan Yilmaz (Religion) as Australian leaders in their research fields.
The magazine selects leaders based on the number of citations researchers have received for publications in top academic journals over the past five years.
“We in ADI take pride in the academic excellence and impact of our work at both the individual and collective levels. And these forms of recognition provide additional evidence of the depth and breadth of the mazing work we in the Institute”.
“I am humbled and honoured to be named again. This acknowledgment highlights the importance of our work in understanding the role of religion in society and politics at local, national, transnational and international levels.”

Deakin was also named a “fast mover”, one of the universities whose research influence grew more than 5 per cent in the past year.
