About the event
Louise will be speaking in-person at the Deakin Waterfront Campus (AD6.104 The Western Beach Room). There is also a zoom link for those unable to attend in-person. Louise will be speaking about her recently published book Hate Speech Against Women Online: Concepts & Countermeasures (2021).
Louise has also kindly offered to be part of an HDR/ECR discussion before the seminar 2:00 to 3:00pm held at Waterfront in AD1.122 and on zoom.
About the speaker
Louise was awarded an ARC DECRA to research hate speech against women in 2019 and is part of a Discovery team researching religious freedom and LGBT+ non-discrimination funded by the ARC in 2020. She is the Convenor of the AAP’s Status of Women in the Philosophy Profession and a Lecturer in philosophy and gender studies at the University of Tasmania.
After the seminar we will continue the conversation at Edge Restaurant & Bar, which is close-by the venue.
