The African continent is in the midst of significant political, economic and social change. One of the major developments in the region has been the uneven, and frequently interrupted, embrace of democracy.

This Polis panel, led by scholars with expertise and experience of Kenya, South Africa and Uganda, discusses the challenge of conducting successful democratic politics in contemporary Africa.
