Project Description
This project aims to address the unique road safety challenges faced by culturally and linguistically diverse (CaLD) communities in Victoria. This project involves a comprehensive analysis to identify barriers and potential enablers for improving access to road safety information, education, services and licensing for these communities.
Specific Need or Challenge
The project addresses the lack of data and research on road safety issues affecting CaLD communities in Victoria. These communities face systemic barriers in accessing road safety education and services, which necessitates a needs gap analysis to explore and understand these challenges better.
Intended Outcomes of the Project
- Identification of barriers and enablers to pinpoint the obstacles and potential solutions for enhancing access to road safety resources for CaLD individuals.
- Comprehensive understanding to gain a detailed demographic profile and current road safety outcomes for CaLD communities, particularly focusing on children, youth and families.
- Evidence-based initiatives to provide key findings that will inform tailored and evidence-based initiatives aimed at improving road safety outcomes for CaLD communities in Victoria.
