New Directions in Radicalisation and Violent Extremism: A Literature Review

The project will conduct a thorough review of literature exploring new forms of violent extremism, which will in turn inform decision making about priority areas for future research and focus by the Department of Home Affairs. 

The project, funded by the Department of Home Affairs, is titled New Directions in Radicalisation and Violent Extremism: A Literature Review. A/Prof Josh Roose, Professor Shahram Akbarzadeh and Dr Vivian Gerrand will work with leading researchers on violent extremism based at the University of Queensland, Leiden University, Ontario Tech University and Georgia State University. The project will conduct a thorough review of literature exploring new forms of violent extremism, which will in turn inform decision making about priority areas for future research and focus by the Department of Home Affairs.
