Jobs with us
With almost 100 researchers and more than 90 doctoral students, we support excellence, innovation and collaboration among theorists and problem-oriented researchers who examine contentious and critical social issues.
Become a member
ADI brings together leading researchers in social sciences and humanities from Deakin's Faculty of Arts and Education and further afield. Membership of the Institute aims to build the research capacity of individual researchers and the Institute, as well as the broader research profile of the University.
Become a visiting researcher
We welcome expressions of interest for short-term visiting research fellowships. Expressions of interest should outline a research program that aligns with one or more of our research streams, and the collaborations and networks involved and be made at least two months prior to the proposed commencement of the visiting fellowship.
Visiting researchers are offered access to a desk and IT facilities, as well as Deakin’s library. They are also encouraged to participate in events and activities hosted by the Institute including seminars, workshops and symposia.
Become a Research student
As a higher degree by research (HDR) student, you'll have the opportunity to collaborate with experienced researchers through our research streams and networks, and develop your career pathways.
Feel free to get in touch with ADI for general support and advice. Information about scholarship opportunities is available on our Current Opportunities space and a selection of our current HDR students’ research topics and agendas is available on our HDR research space.
